Some clients meet us at home, some at our local office, others at our Covid secure St. James’s Place locations, some online and of course, there is still the traditional, but in some places, dying art of talking over the telephone! We flex between all of these to make everyone feel safe and comfortable.
Learning to live with Covid
By Eastbourne sponsor, Crown Wealth Consultants.
We can barely believe as we write this that it is nearly two years since we were rerouting calls, carting desk equipment home, telling our dogs to be quiet whilst we work, and of course, for some strange reason, baking endless banana bread. The entire team at Crown Wealth learnt to adapt (and when you should sometimes hit the mute button on zoom!) very quickly to our new way of working. However, as a close team, whilst the early days of team video calls presented many laughs, we missed those instant moments of humour, the look across the desk to the colleague you have worked with for years that said ‘cuppa?’ and the ability to support each other with a client issue in a very responsive and helpful way.
As the rest of the world returned to the office, so did we. And we have been through all the classic Covid stages; bubbles, lateral flows, PCRs, cancelled team events, outdoor team get-togethers (Brrrr!), and the blend of virtual and ‘real life’.
Fast forward to January 2022 and here we are, like everyone, learning to ‘live with the virus’. Our greatest tool is mutual respect. Everyone has differing attitudes to the risk, but we now have resources at our fingers tips to suit everyone. Some clients meet us at home, some at our local office, others at our Covid secure St. James’s Place locations, some online and of course, there is still the traditional, but in some places, dying art of talking over the telephone! We flex between all of these to make everyone feel safe and comfortable.
We are feeling positive about how equipped we now are compared to two years ago to make things happen for our clients, despite the challenges we face. Although sometimes we slightly miss the endless banana bread!
