Women and finance

This time last year, I was delighted to be named as ‘Financial Adviser of the Year – South East in the 2020 Women In Financial Advice Awards, with the judges saying they liked my ‘positive attitude’ towards the industry and my clients’ well-being. On the 7th of October this year, I was excited to attend the 2021 awards ceremony, this time in person, and was a finalist in this same category again, as well as in the ‘Woman of the Year – Vulnerable Client Care’.
I wasn’t a winner this time around, but just being a finalist was a huge acknowledgement of the 30 years I have spent helping my clients and their families. I also love the fact that these awards are about encouraging women to enter this wonderful industry which, in turn, will help to spread the word about making financial plans with other women.
